Currently there is a great effort from the scientific community to develop metallodrugs that can act in situ after exposure to light. Modern methods of electronic structure calculation together with modern techniques of computer simulation has been used in our group to study compounds that act in the release/uptake of nitric oxide, and for the understanding of photophysical processes involving these compounds.
